She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, is a registered architect in the state of New York, and is currently completing a post-professional design research degree at M.I.T.

Her creative practice is focused on how narratives and aesthetics can change cultural perceptions of waste in the architecture and construction industries. Her practice speculates on what it would mean for the architecture profession to consider the sourcing, maintenance, and re-circulating of materials as critical design work. Celia designs furniture, animations, exhibitions, video games, graphic novels, and other mediums that bring awareness of the life cycles of the materials that make up the built environment. She is also co-founder ot the design practice O.O.P.N.V.M. along with Ekin Bilal.

Her work has been shown in exhibitions at the Architecture+Design Museum, Helms District in Los Angeles, and M.I.T. The ongoing research is currently supported by a two-year fellowship in the School of Architecture and Planning at M.I.T.
