Objectiles are objects on an adventure across time and space to collect as many uses as possible. Rather than remaining associated with one use, Obectiles are impressionable, picking up physical signs from all the uses they encounter. By presenting us with signs that hint at their past, present, and future realities,Objectiles make us aware of their trajectories through time.
Architecture needs Objectiles. Building materials are currently perceived as static and single-use, with litte consideration for their journeys from raw resource to landfill. Objectiles destabilize our view of materials as static. By asking us to imagine their past and future narratives, they compel us to care about where materials come from and where they are going.
